After the recent cases reported in Karachi, a session on Coronavirus was organized for ‘The use of Personal Protective Equipment’ on 3rd of March, 2020. All the internal employees of the organization attended the session. The speaker for the session was Dr. Ashraf Memon, a very renowned pathologist, MBBS, M.C.P.S, (Pathology), MSC Infectious Diseases (UOL, UK) and AITRP-Fellow SIT/HIV (UAB, USA). The speaker gave a brief introduction and overview on the origin and spread of the disease and the importance of use of PPE for the prevention of this viral disease. This was supplemented by a practical demonstration of hand washing practices also another practical demonstration was held which enforced the gloving techniques and the appropriate use of masks in daily patient care routine. A pre and a post lecture assessment questionnaire was circulated and the drastic difference in the results were found in the responses. The demonstration along with the session was very interactive and very result driven.
